Tyrannosaurus rex "Tinker" - Sub-Adult Skull Replica

Item details

Polyurethane Resin, Steel

Height: 42 Inches; Width: 22 Inches; Depth: 34 Inches

Tyrannosaurus rex is one of the most famous predators to have ever lived. More than 50 specimens of T. rex have been discovered, however very few of them were young adult or juvenile skeletons. This was until the discovery of “Tinker” who was identified as “one of the most scientifically significant and most exciting T. rex skeletons ever found” by paleontologist Bob Bakker. Tinker was discovered in 1998 from the Hell Creek Formation in northwestern South Dakota and is thought to be the first nearly complete juvenile/sub-adult T. rex ever found at 70% complete. Tinker is 2/3rds adult size but only 1/4th adult weight.

This is a museum quality cast replica made with a durable polyurethane resin. It was molded directly from the original restored skull, not a 3D printed skull or a sculpture. The resin cast is made on demand and is produced using methods that preserve all of the fine details found in the original specimen.

Display size: 42”x22”x34” as displayed with mouth open, not including the display stand. Variations on the color of the skull and the mount (i.e. wall mount) are possible. Please contact Fossilogic for information and cost. Free shipping on all orders within the USA. International orders will pay actual shipping costs.

The weight of the cast plus the stand is 85 lbs.
