Prognathodon was a species of mosasaur, a predatory aquatic reptile, that lived during the Late Cretaceous. Prognathodon, meaning “forejaw tooth”, had a robust jaw capable of providing a strong bite force and a mouth full of sharp teeth, clearly indicating a carnivorous feeding habit. This skull was recovered from the Khouribga Phosphates of central Morocco, and is presented in its natural, as found, condition. This skull is molded from the original skull.

This is a museum quality cast replica made with a durable polyurethane resin. It was molded directly from the original restored skull, not a 3D printed skull or a sculpture. The resin cast is made on demand and is produced using methods that preserve all of the fine details found in the original specimen.

Display size: 53”x32”x9” as displayed as a wall panel. The weight of the cast plus the stand is 68 lbs. Variations on the color of the skull and the mount (i.e. wall mount) are possible. Please contact Fossilogic for information and cost. Free shipping on all orders within the USA. International orders will pay actual shipping costs.
