Dryosaurus altus was a hypsilophodontid dinosaur, similar to the closely related Iguanodon and Maiasaurus. The name Dryosaurus means “Oak Tree Lizard”, presumably in reference to the oak tree leaf shaped cheek teeth. The skull of Dryosaurus had no teeth at the end of its jaw, possibly indicating a beak, and a row of blade shaped teeth in its cheeks for slicing vegetation. This specific cast of Dryosaurus comes from the Late Jurassic Morrison Formation at the Bone Cabin Quarry of southeastern Wyoming.

This is a museum quality cast replica made with a durable polyurethane resin. It was molded directly from the original restored skull, not a 3D printed skull or a sculpture. The resin cast is made on demand and is produced using methods that preserve all of the fine details found in the original specimen.

Display size: 8.5”x4”x7” as displayed with mouth open, not including the display stand. Display weight is 0.9 pounds including stand. Variations on the color of the skull and the mount (i.e. wall mount) are possible. Please contact Fossilogic for information and cost. Free shipping on all orders within the USA. International orders will pay actual shipping costs.
