Gryposaurus monumentensis is a very large hadrosaurian dinosaur, more commonly referred to as the “duck-billed dinosaurs”. Even the name Gryposaurus means “hooked beak lizard” referring to its “duck-bill”. Gryposaurus was one of the largest, if not the largest, dinosaur within Utah’s Late Cretaceous, matching the size of a Tyrannosaurus rex at 40 feet in length. Within the mouth were over 300 teeth used to slice up vegetation, with many replacement teeth waiting within the jaw bones. Gryposaurus monumentensis was recently discovered within the Late Cretaceous Kaiparowits Formation within the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument of southern Utah and named in 2007 by Gates & Sampson.

This is a museum quality cast replica made with a durable polyurethane resin. It was molded directly from the original restored skull, not a 3D printed skull or a sculpture. The resin cast is made on demand and is produced using methods that preserve all of the fine details found in the original specimen.

Display size: 39”x18”x26” as displayed with mouth open, not including the display stand. Variations on the color of the skull and the mount (i.e. wall mount) are possible. Please contact Fossilogic for information and cost. Free shipping on all orders within the USA. International orders will pay actual shipping costs.
