Allosaurus fragilis - Juvenile Skull Replica

Item details

Polyurethane Resin, Steel

Height: 16 Inches; Width: 7.5 Inches; Depth: 14 Inches

Allosaurus is the official state fossil of Utah and one of the largest theropods that flourished during the Jurassic of North America. This specimen of Allosaurus fragilis is a juvenile skull from the famous Cleveland-Lloyd Dinosaur Quarry in Utah. The Cleveland-Lloyd Dinosaur Quarry is located within the 150-million-year-old Morrison Formation. The quarry is the densest concentration of Jurassic-ages bones ever found and has produced more than 46 individual Allosaurus specimens. The reason for why so many predators were found concentrated together is still a mystery to scientists. This juvenile Allosaurus is approximately one quarter the size of an full-grown adult Allosaurus.

This is a museum quality cast replica made with a durable polyurethane resin. It was molded directly from the original restored skull, not a 3D printed skull or a sculpture. The resin cast is made on demand and is produced using methods that preserve all of the fine details found in the original specimen.

Display size: 16”x7.5”x14” as displayed with mouth open, not including the display stand. Variations on the color of the skull and the mount (i.e. wall mount) are possible. Please contact Fossilogic for information and cost. Free shipping on all orders within the USA. International orders will pay actual shipping costs.
